Don't pooh-pooh their concern

Here's the latest scoop from Palermo Palm Springs: Someone put up this sign by a tree on the Quiet Side. Miss Penny Lane says: It's getting dark so early these days that a tiny flashlight tucked in your purse will help you locate your doggie's doodoos.

why doesn't the gardener pick it up? He just rakes it around.

The gardener gardens and he shouln't have to pick up your dog's poo, you need to do it yourself, with the bags provided. The dogs and residents don't want to have to step in it in the dark and track it into their homes, okay?

What happen to the painters. I haven't seen any painting lately?

Yes, neighbors...Please pick up your dog's poop or the poop patrol will track you down. Don't think we can't see you trying to sneak away from your pile!

I get the that gardner gardens, he also also should pick up the trash and the poo. Just raking it around is not good, and the stuff just sits there in areas where there aren't homes. I pick up the stuff in front of my place. The gardner also needs to pick out the plastic and paper trash that's stuck in the bushes and trees. He doesn't. Sometimes he gets out an air blower to blow it around - which doesn't help much in the big scheme of things.

Also wash the gutters in front of your house when the poop gets smeared on it. It is GROSS!

Seems like it gets worse here on the weekend. Visitors?

I think the signs were a friendly response to yet another disapointing facet of our community- dog poo left behind. Of course it is the dog owners responsibility to pick up after, but when that fails to happen, it goes then to the gardeners's duty since he is after all a groundskeeper and it is on the ground. I definately dont think the owner who's yard it is should have to pick it up, they may not even own a dog. The alternative is for it so sit around for weeks till it shrivels up and turns black which is not so great for curb appeal nor property values. Plus its incredibly rude. Elise
