Palms go 360 at Palermo with re-plantings

Positively Palermo has been asked about the removal of Palermo palms several years ago in the wake of the re-planting of numerous of these trees in the community recently. These pictures are from Positively Palermo's archives, and show the blue ribbons put on palms slated for removal and the placement of these trees in the field and them being hauled away. Miss Penny Lane says: She's out to enjoy the weekend.

Blue ribbons of death.

Interesting to see the history behind the Palermo palms and how the community has been tracking their movement over the years. It’s always a bit emotional when mature trees are relocated, but also reassuring when they’re given a second life instead of being cut down. Miss Penny Lane’s weekend note adds a light touch to it all. It actually reminds me of a couple of stays in Palm Springs luxury vacation rentals I’ve used when traveling—seeing all those palms makes a place feel grounded and alive.
