Yellow police-type tape has been on many of Palermo's trees for TWO months now
At the beginning of April, Palermo residents began discussing on this community site why yellow tape appeared on some trees. Apparently, the ribbons are meant to mark trees for trimming, although such ribbons also were put on palm trees when the palms were ripped out. It's been two months that Palermo's trees have had yellow police-type plastic tape on them. Two months? Miss Penny Lane says: Any lady knows that one must change her ribbons more often than that.

OMG thank you for bringing this up! That tape looks so tacky. I am sure the absentee board and DRM in Palm Desert don't even think about the fact that plastic hanging from our trees is just annoying after so long. It's as bad as the plastic bags hanging from the trees by the San Rafael exit. I think we have gardeners and cleaning services. I wanted to remove the tape myself but I know that isn't right. It might be there for some purpose but two months? Tony Orlando where are you?
Two months, so maybe the hoa board should be fined - anyone else wold be.
Fine the HOA board. Love it. Do onto to others ...
It has been up so long that some of the tapes on the trees has unravelled and come off; some people have removed that tape, too, so the delay has just created more make-work because they will need to come through again to mark the trees. Yoy.
They did the cutting, or BUTCHERING.
Some of the plastic tape is still up even though the trees have been trimmed ....
