Are Palermo's plants getting enough water?

There's been discussion here and individually among neighbors about whether Palermo's plants are being watered enough now that the heat is here. Some have said certain palms are dying. Concern about the landscaping also was brought up at the last homeowners association meeting. Was there any follow-up about this by management? Miss Penny Lane urges: If you believe the plants in front of your home are crying for water, please take the time to water them because that's the Spirit of Palermo.

I agree that some of the plants and many of the palm trees look like they need a bit of help. With the change over in gardeners, the transition wasn't smooth (like the doggie bags that aren't refilled promptly) and maybe the watering schedule of was thing that also was messed up.

I think one reason some plants look better is that I personally have witnessed 3 or 4 residents watering their own plants outside their homes as well as some of their neighbors.

It was brought up at the last HOA meeting but was an action taken? It takes repeated complaints to get DRM or the board to do the littlest of things. The board we have now has not delivered on its promises of quicker actions and better communication.

Some are dying. Tell the gardener if you see him.

is so much better to tend to this situation now, and help the plants that are here survive, rather then having to spend a lot of money buying new ones. I know the gardeners should be taking care of this, but until they get the problem resolved I will continue watering my plants.. I totally agree with Miss Penney it is part of our pride in community to care about all things and do our part during the transition of gardeners or Management Teams to enhance this beautiful community we call home. We can all complain as much as we want, but until our HOA takes the time to listen and react, it is up to us to.

by the way I want to say 'Thank You" to HOA or whoever is responsible for cleaning up the area around the models, it looks so much better. Would be nice now to get the Palm Trees trimmed at the front gate...is on my wish list...:) Thanks again..

Thanks to this blog I watered my plants this weekend, and along the way make some neighbors who walked by who I never would have met before. Nice.
