Canadian buyers go loonie for Palermo
The past weeks have seen an explosion in sales activity at Palermo Palm Springs. Condo after condo has been snapped up. The for-sale signs are coming down. If you go on the Internet, even the units with signs still up in their windows are listed as "pending" sales. Let's all hope that the would-be buyers can complete their purchases and join our jolly crew of good spirits here at Palermo. One big factor in the sales activity has been Canadians buying up properties here. One resident has e-mailed to say Canadians recently have bought at least four condos in the development. One short sale of an A-model condo in excellent condition (with a backyard spa) went for $75,000 more than the so-called distressed properties in foreclosure. The folks from the far north know a smart buy when they see one. Miss Penny Lane says: She's more a Cosmo girl, but she's stocking up on six packs of Labatt Blue and Molson to welcome our new neighbors. A good plan, eh?

As a Canadian and soon to be owner of 240 Enterprise Way I thank you for your warm welcome and look forward to sharing a brewskie of any ilk with you and other Palermo residents in the very near future. Our community is indeed very beautiful and I look forward to being actively engaged in its continued development.

To the 2:19 pm poster, I only see one person complaining, and that's you. LOL. He's probably not from Canada but instead is the guy who bought here at the height of the market and put lots down, and now is upset at everything. I don't think my fellow Canadians coming here for the sun and warm people would use such language. Avi, you will love it here.
We love it here. The place needs a different management company but otherwise the vast majority of residents are great, friendly. For us, it's a big plus that people are looking out for their neighbors and making sure the rules, like parking, are followed. The 2:19 poster guy sounds like someone I knew here who lost his home in foreclosure. He's still upset and posting here.
