Clubhouse rules?
Positively Palermo received this e-mail: "Penny, Who is having that big party in the clubhouse??? Was it approved and fee paid??? Lots of car coming and going. People spilling out of the doors. Noise. Did the HOA allow this and isn't there any notification??" Miss Penny Lane says: She loves a good party, but does anyone have the answers to this resident's questions?

YES is was approved and fee paid. Cars coming and going happens when guest arrive and leave.
Isn't there supposed to notification of the clubhouse closing? There was none that I was aware of.
Any approved parties should have a letter posted on both sets of door from DRM as to lessen any confusion. Did this have such a letter? If yes, end of story.
Sick of the rules not being followed and the HOA doing nothing.
Wow...don't people have better things to worry about then an approved party in the Clubhouse on a Thursday evening?
I was told when I asked a board member that it was not approved.
They took over our clubhouse for birthday party for someone who doesn't even live here. A big F U to the rules.
So tired of absentee HOA and management.
you tattle tells and worry worts are ridiculous. unbelievable.
stop complaining and get a life. No damage was done. The club house actually got used, sounds good to me.
The rules are in place for a reason. I relied on them when buying here.
Damage was done in the sense that these rule breakers denied the rest of us the use of our clubhouse. Has there been an inspection of physical damage? That is why a deposit is required SOP. That anyone could think this is not a good idea must not own here. Sick of renters breaking the rules and the HOA ignoring renter breaking the rules and harm our quality of life and property values.
Well, let's see, 9:11 poster, the clubhouse COULD HAVE been used if the fees paid and the clubhouse regulation obeyed, so it's lame to try to say the "clubhouse getting used" is a reason to say F U to the rules.
Hey, the HOA is really the owners. If you see a party going on in the clubhouse and it bothers you, go ask if it was approved and if so why there is no notice of closure. If you can't do this, you have no right to complain on here - you aren't doing any of us any good. That goes for all the other complaints also. Do your part or shut your piehole.
I wonder if the party was from the vacation rental on Sunburst near QS.
To 136, if it bothers you so much that residentscare concerned, then why don't you just stop read this site because you certainly are not doing any of us good. No one is forcing you to go Penny Lane.
The fee was paid..there was no damage done. The small party of approx 12-15 people was approved and was a birthday party for someone who actually lives here. Not sure what "took over" the clubhouse means when it was approved..isn't that what the clubhouse is for? and not sure what is meant by harming anyones "quality of life"..seriously?
There is a HOA board meeting on Monday so those concerned can ask then.
I know the party involved but don't want to get involve but it does sadden me if they didn't get approval and if they had those tow headed kids there while not following the rules it is a disappointing role model to me as a parent.
Let's all love another, respect the rules, and get along.
We all seem to want the same thing. A nice place to live and to enjoy the Palermo Community. Maybe the HOA or DRM should post a calendar outside the Clubhouse with scheduled events so everyone knows what to expect. This would eliminate any confusion. We would like to know in advance if the clubhouse is going to be used for a party so we can plan around it.
Good idea.
My God everyone. We are acutally getting up set that someone paid the proper fee and used the club house. This is turning into a coumunity of that just has to find somehting to be upset about. So what if the party was for someone that does not live here, if the party was given by someone that lives here. This is how rumors get started someone sais somehting like "it is a party for someone that does not live here" That is 2nd hand unconfirmed information but why let that stop you from saying it here. Whoever said that is nothing more than a trouble maker. This should be a fun sight helping people but it is truning back into a place for bitchey old ladys in mens clothes. GIVE IT A BREAK
The fee was not paid I was told.
No sign on door means no approval.
Next time there is an unapproved party we all need to call security. Simple. The party-ers will have to have a proof.
