Another beautiful Saturday morning at Palermo. The homeowners association has its quarterly meeting set for 6 p.m. Monday, July 26 in our clubhouse. The resignation from the HOA board of the two Enterprise Cos. executives, including Board President Ron Shipka Jr., will be a big topic of discussion. It was quite wonderful that the board had its agenda taped to the mailboxes to let us know of the meeting. In the past, problems have existed in terms of little notification. Miss Penny Lane asks: Is a new brighter day dawning at this lovely little community called Palermo Palm Springs?

HOA meeting is at 6 but homeowners are encouraged to attend a home owners meeting minus Brandi/DRM from 5pm to 6pm.
There is time at the 6 pm to comment. It says so on the agenda.
Please discuss the parking problem. I won't be there be I rent but it's annoying and probably a traffic safety thing.

9 units not paying HOA dues and maintenance and utilities are exceeding budget creating a monthly shortfall. The board has to tighten it's belt immediately or HOA dues are climbing again. Parking was discussed, it was ugly. Why DRM has been sorry it appeared that the board had also dropped the ball on collections... more to come...
The collections thing sounds like a mess. But they did say once the banks get the units they often pay some back HOA dues once in sells, so there can be big check. The banks only pay for the months they had it, not the former homeowners debt.
In all, didn't say 15 - 17 units aren't paying when you include the bank-owned ones? But the bank owned will probably pay up once sold?
