Here is another photo from a Palermo Palm Springs resident. This one is of the overflowing trash bin on Melody Lane. Miss Penny Lane says: Thank you for caring enough to send us the photos.

Wow- someone is throwing away some decent stuff. They should have dropped it off at Goodwill.
I was told that this was discussed at the last HOA meeting and they (Brandi and Michael Heath) said action should be taken. Instead we are getting more problems it seems.
Hello everyone, this is Perry. I know the garbage is quite the issue here sometimes. I think it would be a good idea for all of us to show at the next meeting and put this issue to rest. Maybe we can get a verbal agreement with Brandy. I have had good results when ever I call her with an issue like this. In her defence she might call for a pick up but they might not be able to special pick up for a day or two. No mater what we do there will always be people that don't follow the flow. We just have to work with it with that in mind. Perhaps we can assign some one to keep a garbage watch and that person would be responsible to check the place out and call for pick up when needed. I am sure one of us can do that and it does not have to be an owner from what I understand, sort of a sub comitte thing :)
While we don't live at Palermo full-time, whenever we are there it is shocking to us as to how few people put out their trash bins on collection days. Maybe if people started putting their garbage out for collection and left the dumpsters for special/large items, we wouldn't be having this problem!
To the 11:16 comment, I agree. Some owners and renters aren't told that the cans and curbside pickup service is free. You have to wonder after all these year why they haven't been told. Basic management.
Hey everyone, it is Perry. You all brought up a few good points had not thought of. I noticed most people don't put out garbage. I think a lot of the dumpster issues are from people moving out not in. You usually get rid of stuff you dont want before you move and not onece you got to your new place. Does anyone know if PS does special pick ups? Maybe we should do some sort of flyer (like a reminder flyer) of the rules for the things we are having problems with (garbage, parking etc.) My old boss use to have a saying "Most things are 1% problem and 99% soulition judge your actions accordingly"
I think it's a joke we only have 2 trash containers. People are throwing there trash away that's great! You can't blame them that the bin is full. Maybe we should get rid of the garbage cans for each unit and go to trash bins only just allot more of them. Codominiums are ran this way and I never see there bins overflowing.
You can blame them if they are putting it in flowing bins, so PSDS won't pick it up. Use your own brown cans. Again, part of the problem is short-time season renters. Another problem: A weekly group on Sunburst left their blue recycling bin out for days in the street when they went away for a couple of days.
TO all the people that are complaing here I was just curious about something. Other than voicing your concerns here what elese has anyone done to end the trash issue. I mean has anyone made personel contact with the board, did anyone call or write brandy and voice their concerns. THis web sight is a great way for people to vent their fustration but then never do anyhing else to help the situation. I must of grown up different than a lot of people here. I was always raised if you have a problem take the bull by the horns and do what ever it takes to fix it. Is no one going to take the bulls horns here

keep this stuff out of the landfills - reuse, recycle, and donate to Revivals!
I emailed Brandi & DRM about this. Too bad they are ineffective and non-responsive. Our HOA dues went up for what? Where is the COMMUNITY?

Brandi at DRM emailed back saying she will address this issue in the next newsletter.
that must be the newsletter that no one gets!

If the newsletter only goes to owners, and not all residents, then it is pretty pointless.

I am a home owner and have never seen a newsletter. I don't think there is one.
