Indian Canyon closed. Palermo still without power.

The city has closed Indian Canyon Drive between Palermo and the 10 freeway. The traffic light at Indian Canyon and San Rafael is off. The last e-mail we received from a Palermo resident said the power is still out throughout the complex. The entrance's "automatic open" during power failures is working and you can gain access to the complex. A palm tree across Indian Canyon from Palermo has fallen down. The paper is reporting that "At an apartment complex in Palm Springs at Highway 111 and Escoba, strong winds knocked over a carport crushing several cars, although there were no reports of people being injured."
