Wind too fierce for bank's green fence

Thanks to the Palermo resident who sent in these photos of the wind damage to the bank's green "temporary" fencing. We have received other reports of the complex being inundated with trash, including large pieces. The trees and plants are taking a beating. Another report says the pools and spas are brown with dirt. Winds of 90 mph have closed the Tramway. The newspaper is reporting: "Severe, hurricane-strength winds swept across the Coachella Valley this afternoon, prompting police to urge drivers to stay home and causing significant damage across the valley. Palm Springs International Airport saw 66 mph wind gusts at 1:48 p.m., the highest wind speed recorded of the day by the National Weather Service. Strong winds kicked up large dust clouds about 1 p.m. at the Jammin' for Jesus event in the west valley, and uprooted trees and forced at least two road closures in Palm Springs. It also abruptly ended play at the the Humana Challenge in La Quinta. Officials suspended play shortly after 1 p.m. and eventually called it off for the day at both courses. During the worst of the wind, tents blew over and buildings were evacuated. The score board on the 18th hole also blew into the water. There is also a report that Palm Springs International Airport may be temporarily shut down. Check back to mydesert.com as more information on this becomes available." Miss Penny Lane says: She's holding on to her hat.

Let's see how long it take them to fix this. I cannot wait to the new owners so we can get someone to watch over the pank properties rather than neglect we seem to have now.

The bank does need to get its act together with the upkeep. I guess they have no one in Palm Springs watching over their Palermo property ...

Do not hold your breath.

Some repairs were done to the temporary fencing just a couple of weeks ago, paid for by the bank, arranged by DRM. Perhaps someone should politely let our new interface at DRM (Ana) know about the damage?

I am so tried of someone needing to "tell" DRM something rather than them knowing about it.

@ 8:25

Do you suggest Telepathic communication? LMFAO

@8:25 ... so do you want to pay $800 or whatever per month in HOA for 24 hour resident onsite management services so there's no need for you to take some responsibility in taking care of our community?

@8:45 Amen... Please encourage these people to use their brains.

Don't think its $800 a month, or the service we get now.

@8:15 don't understand your comment. 24 hour onsite management would be needed to provide the level of service that Jan 22, 8:22 seems to think we should have. That would cost many times what we pay today in HOA.

DRM comes less than once a month. Is that acceptable to you?

Sorry, but this is not DRM's job. The fence is the bank's thing and its local guy who should be on this but that has not happened, because they are not watching over it right?

@ 10:37
The average HOA without an onsite only gets a once a month inspection. This must be your first HOA or else you would know that. Why don't you be proactive and ask your Board to increase monthly inspections....whoa who would have thought!
