A new dawn at Palermo — or another false alarm?
Positively Palermo has learned that Palermo may be getting a new management company, at least according to e-mails from residents we have been sent. We are reluctant to post this, because we have received such reports in past that the HOA board members told owners they were going to do this. And then nothing happened, as the HOA board apparently backed out even after telling residents that a change was to be forthcoming. Miss Penny Lane says: She hates good-byes no matter under what circumstances, because either crying out of sadness or happiness, it wrecks her mascara.

What!?!??!!!!
OMG
Bout time. Nuf said.
I sure hope this doesn't cancel the concierge service I have through them! They set up my condo when I come into town and I use their private maintenance.
There is an onset seville at Palermo. By Jason. Much better prolly.
I just received notice from DRM that my conceirge service would be cancelled effective March 1st because the Board of Directors terminated the contract with them. I was paying $2.00 a month for the service and it was a steal. I wish the BOD would have asked out opinions 1st.
Jeez, I can't believe these comments. For a long time people have been bitching about how bad DRM was, not resolving issues, and so on. So now we have an HOA board that truly represents the owners of Palermo. One of their first decisions is to switch management companies, to one they feel will do a better job for our community.
If you take the time to look at the new company (Euclid), the way they structure their services, their web site, and so on is far superior to DRM. They do weekly walk through's of the community to inspect for possible issues. They have regular meetings with service providers. They have a place on their site where a home-owner can post a request for a service issue - no more of this "email Brandi" and see if she responds crap. They offer various ways to automate the payment of your HOAs, online access to your accounts.
We all voted in the Board of Directors. By doing so we specifically asked them to do what they think is best for Palermo. They are doing that. And I 100% support them in what they are doing.
I support what 3:35 said.
This brings me joy and confidence in the board. I know that change is hard and it must have tough to just do it because bumps will come up with any change, but this was a real game-changer for Palermo. If only we had leaders at the national level (and state) who would step up and do what is right. Right on!
To 3:35, you said it! the dramatic results of the last election tells me the board has a BIG MANDATE for change and they re acting on it, quickly and smoothly and not being willy-nilly.
To 2:34, that's is no reason to make the rest of us suffer. LOL. It also is a conflict of interest and should be barred. Someone hiring the same management company to do that work probably will get a free pass on violations from them too. Not a good idea.
Thank you to the board. It is obvious that getting residents on the board has made a huge difference here. In the dark old days it was hard to get anything done. Hugs to you all.
