What is the management company doing?

We're hearing complaints about Desert Resort Management, like how long it takes to get things fixed. Residents say they feel like they are being ignored. One resident said it took weeks and weeks just to get the dog poop bag stations refilled, and then trash cans at the doggie bag stations weren't emptied. That said, managing this place is a big job. What do you think? Email us or post it here after you have asked to get something fixed. We can keep track of it and try to hold these folks accountable for any slow action.

Hi everyone - Please remember not to be vulgar in your posts about individuals at DRM. Thanks for the emails. Penny Lane

I've been calling about my pass code to the Palermo front gate not working at nightbut no one will ever call me back to correct it.

The sign at the club house door is falling down. It is hanging by one nail and will fall and the glass shattered all over. Who's going to do something about it??

UPDATE: The big sign by the clubhouse door is still being hung up by one rivet ---- ready to crash and break the glass. The managers have yet to do one thing to prevent it.

When a problem occurs and DRM is notified via email, let's document and track the average time it takes to get a response. What is the average response time? What are the HOA expectations for turn around time?

Great idea. The sign/glass display case STILL is NOT fixed after all these many many days.

After a week, the display case has finally been fixed. Thanks to all who posted and called to get this corrected. But Miss Penny Lane asks: Why is it so hard to get a simple thing like this done?

Pennie, Could you do something about getting a fan in the workout area because it gets hot and stuffy in there, so people are leaving the outside door open, propped out by a rock. People who don't live here then have access to the gym and clubhouse. A fan mounted to the ceiling or wall would do the trick.

I have given up calling the management company, for maybe that is what they wanted?

Th illegal parking on the streets is back after a bit of a rest. Colt needs to again come in them middle of the night and tow. It's getting really bad on Breeze near Melody, and also on Melody by the gate. These are FIRE LANES people.

They don't like to return calls.

Why won't they put a sign on the gym door that it shouldn't be propped open with that big rocked by the door ... and maybe remove the rock, too

Given that more than a few residents are still telling their guests to park on the street rather than the designated parking areas, and it goes on year after year after year, I just want to know what HOA/DRM/VPM is planning to do to increase awareness/adherence to the fact that every street is a fire lane and if the Fire Marshal catches anyone parking on the street the fine per occurance is $500. This cost will ultimately be passed onto the owners through increased HOA fees. Its very wastefull and poor management in my opinion. Recomendation: Post frequently on mailboxes about reporting parking violations to the security company and HOA, and for HOA to diligently cite/fine the offenders so we dont all have to pay in the end via Fire Marshal Fines.
