Wobbly earthquake felt at Palermo
Neighbors are talking about the quake felt at Palermo. The paper is reporting: "An earthquake estimated at magnitude 5.1 struck the California-Mexico border Tuesday afternoon, apparently another sharp aftershock from the 7.2 Mexicali temblor last month. The new quake was reported at 5:38 p.m. 19 miles southwest of Calexico in Imperial County. There were no immediate reports of injuries or damage, but the quake was felt across the border region." It was a kind of wobbly quake at Palermo. No damage it seems. Check out the Web links page for a connection to quick California earthquake reports. Miss Penny Lane says: So relieved that we all are safe and sound in our wonderful commmunity, and this one reminds us that our community must have a disaster and communication plan.

Felt both of them upstairs. The second quake which was a lower magnitude actually felt bigger and longer than the first one.
I rolled my hair up with orange juice cans and laid down for a nap. When i woke up the cans were all over the floor so i knew something must have happened !!
Orange juice cans? Talk about re-use. How very green of you! The morning quake woke me up.
hey everyone. I know this isn't the right string for this but I just found out that at 6 tonight the City Council will discuss that housing development planned for Indian Canyon and San Rafeal, across the street from us. The council meeting is on cable.
Forget the housing thing, I want to know more about using orange cans as hair rollers. What other helpful hints do you have?
