Does anyone notice a TON of roaches? I swear I have to clean what seems like 2 times a day when no one is ever home just to rid the house of the swarm of cricketts, roaches, nats and spiders. Found a LARGE black widow in the garage last week.
It is just horrible, I cant stand coming home having to watch every place I walk to make sure Im not about to squash a bug, on a seperate note I am a total Queen and cant handle pests!
Hello everyone, the same thing was happening to me. Had roaches, spiders, ants and other little yuk things. I called Orkin, it cost me $89 every other month but worth it. I always thought roaches were if you had a dirty house but the orkin guy said that was not true, They could come into your house from some outside force i.e. could come in by a bag from a store, an egg could get stuck on a shoe and things like that. Have not had any issues since. GOOD LUCK EVERYONE. OH, a neighbor could of had their house spayed and they could be getting away from them and coming to you; Well I hope that helps
Does DRM hire the pest control? If it's ineffective, cancel the service. That's one way to save some money. It sounds like, per 4:17, that this has been handled well on an individual basis. I don't mean to imply that this is not DRM's responsibility, but if they're not doing a good job at it, why let them use our money to pay for a golfcart running around? I'd rather pay Orkin myself to do the job correctly.
From what I understand the Pest Control is bottom of the barrel as the Board has chosen to skimp on services. Not sure what much DRM can do if the Board wont pay.
Lets see if we can't have a public forum on the Board's intent to hire a pool monitor at $63,700 and a gym monitor at the same salary. Basically to watch over 10 people at a time for the pool and 4 at the gym. Each owner would be paying an assessment of $1,100. My view is - in these time we have owners/members who are worried about their jobs and businesses. Having an $1,100 assessment would be crushing to many. I think of the Stimulus Bill which again is needed by so many here at Palermo - all of that would have to go to the use of a pool. There are better solutions. Right now lets worry about and support our neighbors. Some would wish they had those monitor salaries. Look for to comments and insights.

I have also noticed all of the above and scorpions inside my house. I just can't seem to get control of the bugs.

We need a new pest company. The one we have now just runs around in a little golf cart.
