When does the pool heat go back on?

Positively Palermo received this e-mail: "Dear Ms. Penney, Can you tell me when the pool heaters will be turned on?  I would like to use the pool, but... brrrrrrr! Thanks!" We understand the pool heat goes back on every year on Oct. 1. Miss Penny Lane says: Every time she drives by the front pool and sees the local hotties, she has anything to says buy burrrrrr.

NOT heating the pools will NOT solve the problems of the world or Palermo...it will only turn off potential investors. We would like to enjoy our home which includes swimming in the pool. Question: has DRM ever fixed the lighting problem and light timer problem which would save a lot of money? Those who don't know much about maintaining property: The pools have always been an easy target to the uneducated renter or naive property owner...Gee, would you cut off your nose to spite your face? Do you want Palermo to become a Ghost Town? As a community, let's keep it a vibrant, otherwise we will wither away and die. Get out and swim in the pool! We have the best pools and views of the mountains in Palm Springs. SIMPLY AMAZING. I can't believe people live at Palermo and don't use the pool. You are totally missing out. Maybe we should have a pool party to get folks out and into the pools.

I have to admit, I think the pools are more refreshing without the heat. However, I agree with 6:07, that we should maintain Palermo as an inviting investment. And a pool party is a fabulous idea! Day? Time?

REALLY? Do you know how to swim? Have you ever been in the pool?

I enjoyed the pool heater OFF during the 100 plus temperatures but it's that time of year when I'd like to step into warmer waters at 7am and 7pm. Cold water now is quite uninviting.
