Have a happy and toasty Labor Day weekend, Palermo

With all the drama associated with the economy and management situation, it's easy to forget that Palermo Palm Springs is much more than all that. Most of us are members of a community of like-minded residents who love our homes in this Desert Modern enclave, the top-notch pools and other resort-style offerings, and our wonderful neighbors. This long holiday weekend provides an opportunity to appreciate them all. Miss Penny Lane is doing her part to enliven the complex by inviting one of her cowboy friends for the weekend to enjoy the pool. Miss Penny Lane hopes to be there, too. She'll be the one in the lounge chair with the parasol protecting her alabaster skin. Miss Penny Lane says: She'll gladly accept Cosmos on ice, but only if they are in plastic containers — no real glass in the pool areas, my dearies.

You must have noticed my friend from LA in the black Audi who has been here for aweek or so. He is a model in LA

Liked his car, too. Now all the boys of summer are gone. But we do have some full-timer CTs too.

Miss Penny Lane: Did you ever get your cosmo on ice (in a plastic glass, of course!)??

Actually the hottie in the black Audi hatchback is still here, so I have time still to make my move? The Penny Lane Dating Service? LOL.

Okay, this thread is EXACTLY why I'm so glad I bought here. This blog gives important information, yet also brings forward funny posts like this. So, I drive a black Audi and I've been here this past week. I saw the initial post and felt SO good about myself! Someone likes me! And then, I saw to my dismay that an LA model also drove a black Audi and I subsequently gave myself a new drag name-- Selph D'Lusion. But then this... My self esteem has returned! After all the water heater drama I've experienced, the gas regulator, the inability to wash dishes sanitarily, well, all's better. Thank you Miss Penny and thank all of you who live here. I can't wait to become a permanent resident.

Selph D'Lusion. LOL. Sometimes I think Palermo is like a little Who-ville populated with, as Miss PL would say, a crew of good spirits all looking for community. I'm going to turn the lights out now and dream of our fairy godmother Miss Penny dancing around Palermo spreading pixie dust to ward off the evil forces and telling us to have a cosmo. Even though there are complaints on this blog by residents, it all has made me love Palermo even more because we have grown closer and can talk. Good night, Selph, Good night Penny, Good night everybody!

Sometimes, I swear, that when the sky is a Palm Springs blue, the light is just right, the wind isn't too gusty, that I catch a glimpse of Miss Penny Lane hurrying and turning around a corner with some fairy dust left just in her wake.
